Why the scale is the least useful number you track.

Daily weight is mostly water, food volume, and hormonal fluctuation. Over a week it is noisy. Over a day it is meaningless.

Better things to track

  • Waist measurement, monthly
  • Strength in two or three lifts
  • Energy in the afternoon
  • How your clothes fit
